Focusing on uphill breathability and downhill warmth Burton knocked it out of the park (and into the backcountry) with the AK Helium Stretch Insulated Jacket. We love to wear it on its own for avoiding sweaty situations on the ascent and then at the top of the skin track layer it under a shell to bunker down with the warmth we need for pointing it downhill. And when the sun comes out and temps warm up it packs down into its own pocket for easy storage in the backpack.
